Legion Commander + Windranger

Why this works

Getting caught by a Shackleshot is dangerous enough, but it becomes a real problem when Legion Commander is nearby. Windranger offers an ideal setup for a Duel victory. The long stun from a good latch gives Legion all the time she needs to close the gap and lock down her target without being kited. During the Duel itself, Windranger can pour on the damage with Focus Fire from a safe distance, which often provides the extra burst needed to secure the kill and the permanent damage bonus for Legion Commander.

This pair spends the mid-game hunting for isolated heroes, trying to snowball from successful ganks. The entire play relies heavily on Windranger landing that initial stun, however. If Shackleshot misses or only catches one hero without a tree, the gank often falls apart. Enemies will adjust by moving as a group and carrying save items like Force Staffs or Glimmer Capes to break the setup. Because the success of their ganks can be inconsistent, the lane pairing doesn't create an overwhelming advantage on its own and requires good coordination to work.
