Leshrac + Phantom Assassin

Why this works

Pairing these two cores together often results in a lineup that feels disconnected. Leshrac provides a storm of area-of-effect magic damage but lacks a reliable way to lock down a target for Phantom Assassin. His Split Earth stun is difficult to land without prior setup, something Phantom Assassin doesn't offer. Likewise, PA needs a hero locked in place to unload her full burst damage, and Leshrac's slows aren't quite enough to guarantee that. They both end up fighting near each other, but not truly fighting *with* each other, as their kits don't directly amplify one another's strengths.

This pairing's success often depends on both heroes winning their respective lanes and hitting their item timings independently. The game plan can feel split; Leshrac wants to group up early and force fights with Pulse Nova, while Phantom Assassin prefers to find isolated pick-offs from the shadows. If the enemy team is coordinated, they can exploit this by forcing fights where PA isn't in position or by picking off Leshrac before his team can respond. The draft isn't doomed, but it requires both players to be self-sufficient, as they provide very little for each other.
