Leshrac + Windranger

Why this works

Getting ganked by this pair can feel scary, but you often have a window to react. Windranger's Shackleshot requires a specific angle or unit to land, and Leshrac's Split Earth has a visible delay before it hits. If that initial Shackle doesn't connect perfectly, the target can often walk out of the stun area before it lands. Both heroes want to lock someone down to unload their damage, but they don't offer each other a simple, guaranteed way to start that chain. This puts a lot of pressure on the Windranger to land a difficult spell to make anything happen.

This inconsistency can lead to awkward mid-game fights. Both Leshrac and Windranger want to find a target and delete them, but without that clean setup, the enemy often survives the initial burst with a Force Staff or Glimmer Cape. The fight then turns against them. As the game progresses, teams will naturally build magic resistance items to counter Leshrac, which also happens to blunt a large portion of Windranger's spell damage. The duo relies heavily on snowballing from early pickoffs, and when those aren't consistent, they can struggle to build momentum.
