Lina + Marci

Why this works

Struggling to build an early lead is common with this pairing because both heroes need a lot of gold but don't set each other up very well. Marci's primary setup, Dispose, throws an enemy behind her, which is an awkward angle for Lina to land her delayed Light Strike Array. The timing has to be perfect, and any small mistake lets the target get away. While Sidekick is a decent buff for a right-clicking Lina later on, the duo lacks the clean, reliable lockdown needed to secure kills in the early and mid-game, which is where they both want to be creating pressure.

This initial clunkiness usually results in two cores competing for safe farm on a map they can't control. Without easy pickoffs, both Lina and Marci are forced into the jungle, slowing down the team's entire tempo. The enemy can exploit this by pushing lanes and taking objectives while the two are split. To make this lane work, the coordination on that Dispose-into-stun combo needs to be flawless from the very start. Otherwise, they spend the whole game trying to catch up instead of snowballing.
