Lina + Primal Beast

Why this works

Setting up for Light Strike Array with Primal Beast's Pulverize looks straightforward on paper, but the heroes often struggle to be on the same page. The core issue is one of positioning and role. Primal Beast is designed to charge deep into the enemy formation and cause chaos in the middle of a fight. Lina, on the other hand, is a fragile hero who needs to keep her distance to safely cast her spells. This fundamental difference means that when Primal Beast finds a good initiation, Lina is frequently too far away to follow up with her full combo without putting herself in immense danger.

As a result, their teamfights can feel disjointed. Primal Beast might lock down a key target with his ultimate, and Lina can certainly contribute a Laguna Blade from the outside. But after that initial burst, their plans diverge. Primal Beast is left brawling deep in enemy lines, while Lina has to hang back. This allows coordinated opponents to absorb the opening salvo and then punish the separated heroes, either by turning on the overextended Primal Beast or finding an angle to burst the exposed Lina. The combo lacks a smooth follow-through.
