Lina + Clockwerk

Why this works

Setting up a kill with this duo can be surprisingly awkward. On paper, Clockwerk provides the lockdown Lina needs to guarantee her Light Strike Array connects. A good Hookshot into Power Cogs creates a stationary target, which is exactly what she wants. The problem comes from the Cogs themselves. The knockback can misalign Lina's stun if she isn't in the perfect spot, or Clockwerk can trap himself in a way that bodies block her spells. It requires a level of coordination that can fall apart under pressure, turning a surefire kill into a missed opportunity.

This pairing lives and dies by successful pickoffs. When Clockwerk lands a clean initiation and Lina follows up perfectly, they can delete a core hero and create a big advantage. However, in full-scale teamfights, their kits don't offer much beyond that initial burst on one target. If the enemy team has saves or is grouped up, the combo loses a lot of its impact. As the game goes on, their roles can diverge, with Lina wanting to hit towers and farm while Clockwerk is still hunting for single targets, leaving their overall team strategy feeling a bit disjointed.
