Why this works

Competing for farm on the same side of the map often leaves the team feeling stretched. Both Lina and Sven have excellent flash-farming tools and require a lot of gold to reach their big item timings. This means they naturally want to occupy the same safe, creep-rich areas. While you get two sources of stuns from Light Strike Array and Storm Hammer, they don't combine in a way that's uniquely powerful. It’s a standard lockdown chain, but one that doesn’t compensate for the economic tension the two heroes create for their own team.

This dynamic can lead to a slower, more passive game. With both cores focused on their individual net worth, your team might struggle to contest early objectives or respond to aggression. The strategy puts immense pressure on your supports to secure space for two greedy heroes to come online. If the enemy team decides to group up and force fights before Sven and Lina are ready, the lineup can crumble. The pairing isn't actively bad in a fight, it simply creates a difficult economic situation that other drafts don't have to deal with.
