Lina + Treant Protector

Why this works

Setting up Lina's full combo is the main idea here. Treant Protector's Overgrowth provides a long, reliable root that makes it almost impossible to miss Light Strike Array and the rest of her burst damage. This can secure kills on key targets from the mid-game onwards. In lane, the slow from Leech Seed also gives Lina an easier stun opportunity, while Living Armor's health regeneration helps her shrug off harassment. This allows her to stay in lane longer and secure the farm she needs to get her core items online, creating a decent foundation.

The success of the pairing, however, can hinge entirely on Treant landing a good Overgrowth. If enemies play spread out or have good vision, finding that perfect ultimate is difficult. Once the initial burst is over, this duo can struggle. Treant Protector provides map control and sustain, but he isn't a durable frontliner. A right-clicking Lina can find herself exposed and vulnerable after her spells are on cooldown. The fight often comes down to whether that one big combo was enough, because there isn't a strong plan B to fall back on.
