Lina + Undying

Why this works

Dropping a Tombstone to set up a Light Strike Array sounds good on paper, but it's often not that simple. The slow from zombies isn't enough to guarantee Lina's delayed stun lands on an aware opponent. What works a bit better is coordinating their ultimates; the damage amplification from Undying’s Flesh Golem can make Lina’s Laguna Blade a surefire kill on a single important hero. The rest of their kits don't have much special interaction, though, making their laning phases feel quite separate from one another.

This pairing often comes down to whether the enemy team can handle Undying’s pressure on their own terms. If Undying can cause enough chaos for Lina to get a clean combo off, they can win a fight. But the two heroes want slightly different things. Undying thrives in a long, messy brawl, while Lina prefers a quick, decisive burst on a key target. If the enemy team can kite the Tombstone or survive the initial burst, the synergy between Lina and Undying falls off, and they're left fighting as two individuals rather than a cohesive unit.
