Lina + Venomancer

Why this works

These two heroes often compete for the same farm on the map. Venomancer naturally pushes out lanes with Plague Wards, which can starve a Lina who needs waves and jungle camps to hit her item timings. Their damage profiles also clash fundamentally. Venomancer excels at wearing down an entire team with sustained damage like Poison Nova, while Lina is built to instantly delete one target with her combo. Their damage rarely stacks effectively on a single enemy, leading to inefficient fights where neither hero's strength is maximized.

In mid-game teamfights, this lack of focus becomes a real problem. Lina needs to eliminate a target quickly, but Venomancer's contribution is slow and spread out. He might get the entire enemy team low, but only after Lina has already committed her spells elsewhere. This often leaves key enemies alive on a sliver of health, able to escape or even turn the fight. Without a strong frontline from other roles, both Lina and Venomancer are vulnerable targets themselves, and opponents can often weather the initial poison before focusing one of them down.
