Lion + Marci

Why this works

Getting jumped by this duo can feel hopeless. Marci closes the distance with Rebound and can toss a target back with Dispose, setting them up for Lion's follow-up control. With Hex and Earth Spike available, a successful chain of abilities leaves an enemy locked down for a long time, usually guaranteeing a kill. The whole sequence depends on coordination, however. A poorly angled Dispose from Marci can make it difficult for Lion to land his linear Earth Spike, and if the stuns don't overlap correctly, the target has a window to escape.

This leaves the pair with a very specific game plan: find pickoffs on isolated heroes. They excel at this from the early to mid-game. In full five-on-five teamfights, their game plans can diverge. Marci often needs to dive deep into the enemy team to be effective, while the fragile Lion must maintain a safe distance in the backline. This separation makes it hard for them to protect each other or focus the same target. If opponents can force a messy, spread-out fight, they can often exploit the duo’s conflicting positioning needs.
