Why this works

Setting up a kill on one hero can feel straightforward with this pair. Lion's Earth Spike and Hex create a long, clean window for Silencer to apply Last Word and Arcane Curse without interruption. If the target survives that initial chain, trying to cast a spell afterward triggers the silence from Last Word and adds stacks to the curse. This extended control is often enough to take down a slippery core who might otherwise escape, turning a simple gank attempt into a confirmed kill.

The main challenge is that both heroes do similar jobs. Focusing all their control on one person can leave the team exposed to aggressive, grouped-up enemies who can overwhelm them before all the spells come out. While Global Silence is a great tool for Silencer to initiate for a Lion Finger of Death, it requires good coordination across the map. The game often comes down to whether this duo can successfully find and execute isolated picks before the enemy team forces broader, messier teamfights where their single-target focus is less effective.
