Why this works

Getting caught by this pair can feel impossible to survive. Slardar’s Corrosive Haze strips away a target’s armor, leaving them completely vulnerable to the combined physical output of Lone Druid and his Spirit Bear. The initial stun from Slithereen Crush gives the bear enough time to close the distance and find an Entangling Claws root, effectively pinning one hero in place. It's a straightforward but effective way to isolate and eliminate a single key target before a fight properly begins.

This pick-off potential often translates directly into taking objectives. After securing a kill, both heroes can immediately turn their attention to a tower, with Corrosive Haze speeding up the siege for the Spirit Bear. The strategy is quite focused, however. Teams that can successfully kite the bear or use save items like a Glimmer Cape can disrupt the initial burst. The game becomes about Lone Druid and Slardar trying to find an isolated hero, while the enemy team makes every effort to stick together and force a wider teamfight where this duo is less comfortable.
