Marci + Pudge

Why this works

Picking these two heroes together is a bet on getting early kills. The game plan revolves around Pudge landing a good Meat Hook to pull a target out of position. Marci can then Rebound in for the stun and Unleash combo to secure the kill. The issue is that their abilities can work against each other. Marci's Dispose throws an enemy, which can be useful, but it can also accidentally move a target out of Pudge's Dismember range or throw them to a spot where Pudge can't get a good angle. They both try to control one hero's position, and sometimes they pull in opposite directions.

This duo lives and dies by their early game aggression. If they can successfully roam the map and create constant pressure, they build a lead that's hard to stop. The problems start when opponents play defensively and ward well. Without those initial pickoffs, Pudge and Marci both have trouble farming and don't contribute much to pushing lanes or taking objectives. They can end up as two under-leveled melee heroes trying to force fights against a team that has hit its timings. This makes their success very dependent on how the first few minutes of the game play out.
