Marci + Slardar

Why this works

Getting caught by Slardar’s stun feels much worse when a Marci is nearby. The ideal setup is simple: Slardar lands Slithereen Crush and Corrosive Haze, and Marci follows up with Dispose to isolate the target or throw them back into her team. The combination of a stun, a repositioning spell, and armor reduction creates a strong ganking threat. Marci’s own damage output benefits from the setup, letting her quickly attack a vulnerable hero who can't fight back.

However, the plan relies on both heroes committing to the same target at the same time. Since both are melee, they often have to run at the enemy together, which can be predictable and easy to punish. Enemy teams with good positioning, saves like Force Staff, or area-of-effect control can turn the aggression around, leaving both Slardar and Marci overextended. If the initial burst fails to secure a kill, they lack a clear escape plan and can be picked off, making the whole engagement very high-risk.
