Marci + Techies

Why this works

Pairing these two heroes tests a team's coordination. The ideal setup is for Marci to use Dispose to throw an opponent directly into a nest of Techies' Proximity Mines. This can lead to a quick kill, especially if Techies follows up with a Sticky Bomb and Blast Off! for extra damage and silence. Techies can also support Marci’s aggression by placing Reactive Tazer on her as she dives with Rebound. The disarm punishes enemies for trying to fight back while she uses Unleash, letting her stay on a target longer. This combo can be effective for locking down and bursting a single hero.

However, the game plans for Marci and Techies can often diverge. Marci is a mobile initiator who wants to jump on targets and force fights anywhere on the map. Techies plays a much more defensive, area-control style, preferring to fight in zones he has already prepared. If Marci starts a fight away from the minefield, Techies has little to offer beyond his cast-range spells. The success of the lane and early fights relies heavily on perfect Dispose execution, and if that coordination fails, they don't offer each other much, leading to a partnership that feels fairly neutral.
