Marci + Viper

Why this works

Facing this duo in a gank is miserable. You get slowed to a crawl by Viper's poisons, then Marci leaps in to stun and throw you. The issue is turning that long disable chain into a kill. Viper’s Nethertoxin is a great setup for magic damage, and while it boosts Marci’s initial spells, her primary killing power from Unleash comes from physical attacks. This makes the core of Viper's setup feel mismatched with her biggest steroid. Even worse, Marci’s Dispose can easily toss the target out of the Nethertoxin puddle, wasting the setup entirely.

Their plan to isolate and execute a single hero can work in the early game. As teams start grouping for objectives, however, their limitations become clear. Both heroes are geared toward bringing down one target and lack the area-of-effect damage or control to handle a full teamfight. Marci wants to commit hard with Rebound and Unleash, diving deep into the enemy. Viper, on the other hand, excels at kiting and controlling space from a distance. They end up fighting two different battles, making their combined impact much less than it should be.
