Morphling + Pangolier

Why this works

Catching a key target is difficult when Pangolier is on your team. His Rolling Thunder is great for stunning multiple enemies, but it shoves them around unpredictably. This is a disaster for Morphling, who needs a target to stay still for his full burst combo with Adaptive Strike. What should be an easy kill often turns into a scramble as Morphling is forced to use Waveform just to catch up to a target his own ally knocked away. The fundamental way Pangolier initiates a fight actively works against the way Morphling wants to kill someone.

This mismatch extends to the entire game plan. Pangolier thrives on creating chaotic, extended brawls where he can roll through the enemy team multiple times. He wants to make the map volatile and force reactions. Morphling prefers a more controlled pace, farming his essential items in a secure area before joining decisive fights. The kind of space Pangolier creates isn't the stable environment Morphling needs to get ahead, and the fights he starts are often too messy for Morphling to contribute effectively until he's already very farmed.
