Morphling + Slardar

Why this works

Applying Corrosive Haze to a target for Morphling sounds like a perfect setup. Slardar provides a stun and massive armor reduction, which should let a physical carry go to work. The issue is that Morphling's build path can make this synergy awkward. If he commits to the Ethereal Blade combo, his primary burst becomes magical, rendering Slardar's armor shred nearly useless for that initial kill attempt. The pairing relies heavily on Morphling building for right-clicks, which isn't always his most effective plan.

This often leads to a timing conflict across the map. Slardar hits his peak with a Blink Dagger and wants to force fights, creating pressure. Morphling, however, frequently needs more farm to assemble the core items required to be a durable, high-output carry. By the time Morphling is ready to join these aggressive plays, Slardar's own impact may have started to fade. The result is a duo that can feel out of sync, with one hero creating windows the other isn't quite ready to use.
