Morphling + Snapfire

Why this works

Throwing a full-Agility Morphling into a fight with Firesnap Cookie seems like a strong way to delete a target. The issue is his fragility in that state. If the enemy team is ready, they can easily chain-stun and burst him down before he can react or Morph into Strength. Snapfire provides a short stun on impact, but it's often not enough time for Morphling to secure a kill and escape safely. This makes the classic Cookie initiation a high-risk play that can backfire badly, as opposed to using it on a more durable initiator who wants to be in the middle of things.

In lane, Snapfire’s early aggression and kill potential can create the space Morphling needs to get started. Her Lil' Shredder also makes his attacks more effective by lowering enemy armor. As the game goes on, however, their plans can diverge. Morphling might want to flank and burst a backline hero, while Snapfire positions herself to get a good Mortimer Kisses off. The combo works best when catching someone isolated, but in a full five-on-five teamfight, their kits don't always align, leading to awkward and uncoordinated engagements.
