Why this works

Getting caught out at night by this pair feels helpless. Night Stalker creates the ideal hunting ground by reducing vision and applying a long silence with Crippling Fear. This gives Muerta a stationary, defenseless target to unload on. A silenced hero can't use spells to get away or disable Muerta during her ultimate, Pierce the Veil. While she's ethereal and immune to physical attacks, she can freely build up damage on the target Night Stalker has locked down, making escapes very unlikely for most heroes caught alone.

This duo’s strength revolves around the day-night cycle. The first night is their initial power spike, where they can start aggressively hunting and create a lead. Muerta can join Night Stalker's ganks to secure kills and accelerate her own farm. The enemy team’s main objective becomes survival; they need to stay grouped, place defensive vision, and avoid walking into dark areas of the map. If they can weather the nights and force fights during the day, they can mitigate the pressure and try to catch Muerta when her ultimate is down.
