Muerta + Puck

Why this works

Losing control of the map with this lineup often comes down to how their spells combine. Puck can trap a target with Dream Coil, but enemies can still attack or use items inside it. Muerta's main setup is the fear from Dead Shot, which makes the enemy run unpredictably. This can pull a target out of Puck's Waning Rift silence or away from Muerta's own right clicks. Their forms of control don't stack well, allowing an enemy to survive a gank with a single defensive spell and walk away.

This lack of reliable kill threat puts their timings out of sync. Puck wants to be aggressive in the mid-game, but without a hard stun to set up for Muerta, she can't contribute enough damage until she has a few items. This forces a difficult choice: Puck roams for low-impact plays, or Muerta joins fights before she's ready, stunting her economy. An enemy team can exploit this by separating them, picking off a solo Puck or running at a vulnerable Muerta, ensuring neither hero can build the momentum needed to win.
