Muerta + Pugna

Why this works

Blowing up a single target can work very well for this pair. Pugna’s Decrepify sets up a big magic damage window, and during her ultimate, Muerta's attacks are purely magical. This allows them to coordinate a quick kill on an important hero before they can react. The problem is that outside of that ultimate window, their kits don't line up. If Pugna uses Decrepify on an enemy to save an ally or set up his own spells, he makes that target immune to Muerta's regular physical attacks. This can be actively disruptive, stopping her from finishing off a low-health enemy.

The result is a partnership that feels very conditional. Teamfights become focused on executing that one specific combo. When Muerta and Pugna pull it off, it can secure a key objective. But in messier, prolonged fights where cooldowns don't align perfectly, they can step on each other's toes. Pugna might be trying to control the fight with his spells while Muerta needs to consistently apply physical pressure, leading to moments where their abilities are actively working against each other and undermining the team's overall damage output.
