Muerta + Tidehunter

Why this works

Facing a big Ravage is a nightmare, and adding Muerta to the follow-up seems like a clear win condition. Tidehunter locks down the entire enemy team, giving her a huge, safe window to fire away. The issue comes from the details of their kits. Tidehunter’s Gush is a great tool for shredding armor and slowing a target, setting them up for physical damage. However, when Muerta activates Pierce the Veil to do her heaviest damage, she’s dealing purely magical damage, making the armor reduction from Gush entirely irrelevant for her.

This leaves their partnership feeling generic rather than truly coordinated. While a team-wide stun from Tidehunter is obviously helpful, it doesn't specifically enhance what makes Muerta unique. The biggest damage window from Muerta's ultimate gets no benefit from Gush, and other carries might make better use of the physical vulnerability Tidehunter creates. The two don't actively work against each other, but they don't quite amplify each other’s strengths either, leading to a combo that's decent but rarely feels like a perfect pairing.
