Muerta + Viper

Why this works

Trying to lock down a single target can be awkward for this pair. Viper wants enemies to sit inside Nethertoxin to break their passives and melt them down. Muerta’s reliable control, however, is the fear from Dead Shot, which forces the target to run unpredictably. This often moves them out of Viper's spells or away from the revenants in The Calling. While both heroes provide plenty of slows, they lack a hard stun to chain their abilities together cleanly. The result is a lot of overlapping soft control that doesn't always guarantee a kill.

In game, a lineup with both Muerta and Viper can feel a bit greedy and one-dimensional. Both heroes want to occupy a core role and deal damage from a distance, which puts a lot of pressure on the rest of the draft to provide a frontline and initiation. Since a large portion of their combined damage is magical, opponents can build items like a Pipe of Insight to counter both threats at once. The game plan often comes down to overwhelming enemies with sustained damage and slows, but it can struggle to secure kills against mobile heroes or teams with strong defensive saves.
