Muerta + Warlock

Why this works

Combining Chaotic Offering and Pierce the Veil is the entire plan here. Warlock drops the Golem for the stun, and Muerta unloads with her ultimate. The issue is that both heroes commit their longest cooldowns for this single moment. If the enemy team survives the burst or disengages, the pair has little follow-up. Warlock's other spells don't provide the mobile lockdown or peel that Muerta needs to keep firing after her ultimate fades. Fatal Bonds helps amplify damage, but it doesn't fix this lack of synergy in their basic kits.

This reliance on ultimates makes their game plan predictable. The lane is often passive; they have sustain with Shadow Word but lack kill threat, leaving Muerta open to pressure. Later on, the strategy revolves around finding that perfect Golem. An enemy team with good positioning can easily play around this one big threat. They can split the map or force fights when ultimates are down, leaving the Warlock and Muerta combo feeling much less effective than the sum of its parts until those cooldowns are ready again.
