Necrophos + Primal Beast

Why this works

Facing this pair often means getting locked down and slowly melted. Primal Beast's main job is to hold a key enemy in place with Pulverize, which creates a perfect window for Necrophos. A target that can't move is guaranteed to take multiple hits from Death Pulse and sit inside Heartstopper Aura for its full duration. This combination of control and sustained damage quickly brings an enemy into Reaper's Scythe threshold. The two heroes effectively layer their damage, with Primal Beast's Trample adding to the pain while Necrophos applies pressure from a safer distance.

During mid-game skirmishes, this duo looks for pickoffs on isolated targets. Primal Beast initiates, and Necrophos follows up to secure the kill and heal his team. The synergy can feel a bit conditional, though. The entire setup falls apart if an enemy has a stun to interrupt Pulverize, or if a teammate has a Glimmer Cape or Force Staff to save the target. If Primal Beast misses his initial Onslaught, both he and Necrophos can be kited and punished. Their success depends heavily on landing that first lockdown before the enemy team can spread out or react.
