Necrophos + Puck

Why this works

Getting caught in a Dream Coil with a Necrophos nearby creates a difficult choice. The leash forces you to either stand still or take a stun, all while Heartstopper Aura wears you down. Puck can add a Waning Rift silence to prevent an immediate escape, which gives Necrophos a window to get closer and start using Death Pulse. While this setup looks good, the heroes themselves operate at very different speeds. Puck provides control, but it's not the kind of long, hard lockdown that makes it easy for the slower Necrophos to guarantee a kill.

Throughout a game, this pairing can feel disconnected. Puck wants to play on the edges of a fight, using high mobility to stay safe, while Necrophos needs to be in the middle of everything to be effective. Their success depends entirely on coordination. If Puck lands a perfect multi-hero coil and Necrophos is already in position, the fight can go their way. If not, Necrophos may arrive too late to help secure the kill Puck set up, leaving their plans to fall apart. It's a combo that requires very specific timing to work.
