Necrophos + Slark

Why this works

Hunting a single target with Slark is all about wearing them down, but finishing the job can be tough if help arrives. That's where Necrophos provides the perfect follow-up. Slark excels at isolating an enemy and draining their stats with Essence Shift, making them incredibly fragile. Once that target is low, Reaper's Scythe is a guaranteed kill from a safe distance, often securing a long respawn timer before the enemy team can even react. Necrophos doesn't need to risk his own life; he cleans up what Slark starts, turning a messy skirmish into a decisive pick-off.

This combo dictates the pace of the game. The constant threat of a Slark pounce followed by a Reaper's Scythe forces opponents to play cautiously and stick together, which plays right into Necrophos's teamfight strength. In a full brawl, enemies are stuck. If they focus Slark, they have to chew through his regeneration while Necrophos sustains his team with Death Pulse. If they go on Necrophos, he can use Ghost Shroud to buy time while Slark dismantles their backline unopposed. It creates a two-front problem that's very difficult to solve.
