Necrophos + Warlock

Why this works

Spreading Fatal Bonds through the enemy team creates a perfect setup for Necrophos. His Heartstopper Aura and constant Death Pulse casts get amplified significantly, grinding down multiple heroes at the same time. Warlock can also use Upheaval to keep enemies from scattering, forcing them to take the full duration of Necrophos's area-of-effect damage. This constant pressure wears down the enemy lineup, making it easier for Necrophos to find a target for Reaper's Scythe to secure a key kill and keep his own regeneration going.

The game plan for this pair revolves around five-man teamfights. Warlock looks for a multi-hero Chaotic Offering, and Necrophos follows up to clean house. However, this strategy is vulnerable. Both heroes lack mobility and can be easily picked off before a fight begins if they are out of position. Teams with strong initiation can jump on either Warlock or Necrophos and burst them down before they can cast their crucial spells. The success of this pairing often depends on whether they can control the pace of the fight or if the enemy can dictate the engagement and separate them.
