Why this works

Getting caught by a Shackleshot becomes a true death sentence when Necrophos is around to follow up. Windranger provides the perfect long-duration lockdown that Necrophos needs to close the gap, apply Heartstopper Aura, and ensure his target is low enough for Reaper's Scythe to finish the job. This is a very direct partnership: Windranger finds an angle and provides the control, and Necrophos brings the guaranteed kill once the target's health drops. In return, Necrophos can sustain an aggressive Windranger with Death Pulse, giving her more room to look for risky plays.

The game plan for this duo is to hunt for pickoffs. They excel at punishing any hero caught alone, turning a successful stun into an objective or map control. The main weakness is a coordinated five-man push from the enemy. The single-target nature of their combo means they can struggle to fight into a full team that sticks together. Success often comes down to whether Windranger can find enough openings to build a lead before the opposing team can group up and force fights where this pair's specific strengths are less effective.
