Shadow Fiend + Tiny

Why this works

Facing the pair can be scary; the burst from an Avalanche-Toss combo into Shadow Fiend's Razes is theoretically enough to delete a hero instantly. That threat is real, but the execution is unreliable. The problem is that Tiny’s Toss is a disruptive spell that often moves the target out of the precise range Shadow Fiend needs for his own damage. What looks like a setup on paper frequently turns into an accidental save, with Toss pulling a hero out of the path of a lethal Shadowraze or away from the center of a Requiem.

This fundamental clash in their kits causes problems all game. Both Shadow Fiend and Tiny can demand a lot of farm to hit their timings, often competing for the same space on the map. An enemy team can take advantage of their awkward initiations, baiting a Toss that misplaces a target and then turning to burst the fragile Shadow Fiend. For this duo to work, the Tiny has to play with perfect awareness of SF's positioning, but it’s more common for their abilities to work against each other in a chaotic teamfight.
