Night Stalker + Phoenix

Why this works

Hunting down a lone hero is where Night Stalker excels, using his high movement speed and vision to isolate a target. Phoenix, by contrast, thrives in large, committed teamfights where spells like Icarus Dive and Fire Spirits can hit multiple enemies. There is some minor overlap; Night Stalker’s Crippling Fear can prevent enemies from using spells on the Supernova egg, but their core fight plans are fundamentally different. One wants a quick skirmish to create a numbers advantage, while the other wants a messy, drawn-out brawl that can be reset.

This difference means the two heroes often operate independently for much of the game. Night Stalker will be looking for ganks and map control during the night, while Phoenix is typically more focused on securing farm for key items. Their success as a pair often depends on how the enemy team reacts. If opponents are forced to group up to survive Night Stalker’s aggression, it can create a perfect setup for Phoenix. If they split apart to dodge Phoenix’s damage, they become easier prey for a pickoff.
