Night Stalker + Pudge

Why this works

Setting up a Meat Hook is much simpler when Night Stalker can slow the target first with Void. His superior vision at night also lets Pudge know where to aim from the fog of war. If the hook lands, Night Stalker's silence from Crippling Fear can stop any immediate escape spell, giving Pudge a clean window to use Dismember. The lockdown and burst damage from both heroes arriving on a single target is often lethal before support can arrive. This combination of setup, displacement, and silence makes their ganks more reliable.

This ganking plan becomes the central focus of the game once night falls. The duo roams the map together, looking for isolated heroes to pick off and create an early advantage. However, the strategy is very direct and can be countered. If the enemy team plays defensively, provides good vision for themselves, and travels as a group, it becomes much harder for Pudge and Night Stalker to find successful initiations. Without a strong lead from these kills, both heroes can have trouble scaling and contributing later on.
