Why this works

Setting up ganks with Ringmaster's hypnotic pull can be useful for Night Stalker. The device draws an enemy hero into a predictable spot, which can make it easier for Night Stalker to land Crippling Fear and start his assault. This is most effective during the first few nights when finding isolated targets is the main objective. The coordination can be difficult, though. A mistimed pull or a delayed follow-up from Night Stalker can leave both heroes out of position. The setup also isn't strictly necessary, since Night Stalker is often self-sufficient in finding his own kills, particularly against heroes with no escape.

The success of this pairing often hinges on converting those early night-time ganks into a real advantage. If they can secure kills and build a lead, Night Stalker can take over the map. But if the enemy team plays safe, maintains vision, or groups up, the strategy loses its teeth. In larger teamfights, their goals can easily diverge. Ringmaster might be using his abilities to control an area or save an ally, while Night Stalker is diving deep into the back lines on a different target. This lack of a consistent, shared plan for the mid-to-late game keeps their overall impact fairly average.
