Night Stalker + Techies

Why this works

Drafting these two heroes together creates a very specific problem for the enemy once the sun sets. Night Stalker's entire plan is to abuse his superior night vision to find and hunt isolated targets. Techies excels at punishing predictable movement by mining common jungle paths and objectives. When Night Stalker starts a gank, the target is forced to flee, often directly into a pre-placed minefield. The combination of Night Stalker's aggressive chase and Techies' area denial leaves very few safe places on the map. A direct gank using Blast Off! also provides more than enough silence and damage to secure an early kill.

This pressure starts on the first night and rarely lets up. The opposing team has to invest heavily into detection and move as a group, which slows down their farm and prevents split-pushing. Any support trying to deward alone becomes an easy target for Night Stalker. Techies uses this space to safely place aggressive mines, securing map control around Roshan or enemy towers. The only real counterplay is to force fights during the daytime, but this predictability allows your own team to prepare and dictate the game's pace.
