Outworld Destroyer + Ursa

Why this works

Struggling to find enough farm on the map often defines this pairing. Both Ursa and Outworld Destroyer want to occupy similar, safe parts of the map to build their core items, leading to split resources and delayed timings. Their kits also have clear anti-synergy in ganks. Outworld Destroyer’s Astral Imprisonment can easily save an enemy from Ursa by interrupting his damage ramp from Fury Swipes and giving the target a chance to escape. This forces the OD to hold his main setup tool, limiting his contribution in the early fights Ursa wants to take.

The result is a team that feels like it’s playing on two different timers. Ursa hits a key item spike and wants to force objectives like Roshan, but Outworld Destroyer often isn't ready to provide the sustained damage needed to win those fights. The enemy can exploit this by kiting the Ursa while pressuring the less mobile OD. To make it work, the team has to play perfectly around Ursa's specific timings, leaving Outworld Destroyer to fend for himself until he has enough items to join, by which point the game can already be slipping away.
