Ogre Magi + Slardar

Why this works

Running at a target to secure pickoffs can create some early map control for your team. Ogre Magi offers a simple stun to set up for Slardar's own lockdown, but the real connection is Bloodlust. That extra attack speed on Slardar makes a noticeable difference when he's trying to burst down a target affected by Corrosive Haze. The armor is already gone, and Bloodlust ensures he gets more right-clicks in during the stun duration to secure the kill. It’s a very direct, physical-damage ganking setup that preys on lone heroes.

This duo encourages an aggressive mid-game tempo, looking for kills to translate into objectives. The plan is effective when it works, but it's not a guaranteed strategy. Both Ogre Magi and Slardar need to get into melee range and commit to a fight, which makes them susceptible to being kited or turned on by the rest of the enemy team. Heroes with saves, strong counter-initiation, or good disengage can easily punish the all-in nature of this gank, leaving both heroes out of position. The success often depends more on the enemy's draft than the strength of the pairing itself.
