Ogre Magi + Ursa

Why this works

Giving Ursa Bloodlust seems like a perfect fit, providing the attack and movement speed he needs to run targets down. The issue is that Ursa already gets max attack speed from Overpower for his initial burst. While Bloodlust helps him stick to a target after those first few hits, Ogre Magi's lockdown isn't reliable. His stun and slow are often not enough to prevent an enemy from using a Force Staff or a defensive ability to get away. The core idea is strong, but good players can find ways to disengage before Ursa builds up lethal Fury Swipes damage.

The game plan is very direct: Ogre Magi buffs Ursa, and Ursa runs at people. This can dominate the lane and secure an early Roshan, creating a strong mid-game tempo. However, this strategy is also predictable and one-dimensional. If the enemy team has heroes that are naturally good at kiting or builds defensive items to counter the physical burst, the plan falls apart. When the enemy can effectively peel for whoever Ursa targets, the draft struggles to find a different way to win, leading to very inconsistent results.
