Omniknight + Queen of Pain

Why this works

Trying to support a Queen of Pain from the backline exposes the awkward parts of this pairing. Queen of Pain wants to Blink aggressively, often far from her team. This makes it difficult for Omniknight to land a timely Purification, as he needs to be close to the action. While Heavenly Grace can be a great way to remove a silence, his most powerful spell, Guardian Angel, only protects from physical damage. A caught-out Queen of Pain is frequently more concerned with magical burst and lockdown, which the ultimate doesn't prevent.

As a result, Omniknight's protective spells are often better used on a different core who has to stand their ground. He gets more value saving a front-liner who is soaking up damage, rather than using his cooldowns on a Queen of Pain who might simply Blink to safety on her own. While she certainly appreciates a dispel, the overall game plans can feel disconnected. Omniknight excels at enabling a deathball push, but QoP's strength lies in her ability to create chaos and pickoffs independently across the map.
