Why this works

Using Global Silence to start a fight creates a window for your team to act. The problem is that Omniknight's kit isn't about aggression; it's about reacting to the enemy's moves with saves like Guardian Angel or Heavenly Grace. His spells are designed to turn a fight around after it has already started, not to secure kills during a brief silence window. This means their two most powerful spells often feel like they belong in two different teamfights, pulling the game plan in separate directions. There's no natural way for one hero's big play to set up the other's.

In practice, this means the laning phase can be stable but lacks kill threat. Later on, Silencer might land a great ultimate, but the team might lack the immediate damage or lockdown to convert that into objectives because Omniknight is built for sustain. On the other hand, if Omniknight has to use Guardian Angel to save the team from a physical carry, following it up with Global Silence can feel redundant if the enemy is already disengaging. They don't combine their strengths effectively, so the success of this pairing falls heavily on the other three heroes to bridge the gap.
