Phantom Assassin + Primal Beast

Why this works

Drafting these two heroes together often commits a team to an aggressive, all-in playstyle. On paper, the plan is straightforward: Primal Beast uses his raw power and abilities like Pulverize to lock down a key enemy, creating a stationary target for Phantom Assassin to burst with her physical damage. The main issue is that both are melee heroes who want to be in the center of the fight, making them very susceptible to being punished by area-of-effect spells. They offer little in the way of defensive support or utility for one another, so if an initiation goes wrong, neither can easily help the other escape.

The success of this pairing often comes down to timing. Primal Beast is ready to fight and make plays much earlier than Phantom Assassin, who typically needs a few core items to be effective. If Primal Beast can successfully create space and chaos across the map, it can accelerate PA's farm and allow her to join fights with an advantage. However, if the enemy team can withstand that early pressure, they can often catch Phantom Assassin before she's ready. This leaves Primal Beast initiating onto targets his carry can't kill, making the whole strategy fall apart.
