Phantom Assassin + Silencer

Why this works

A well-timed Global Silence creates a clean window for Phantom Assassin to jump on a priority target. Enemies are suddenly unable to use their defensive spells, meaning heroes like Dazzle or Oracle can't cast Shallow Grave or False Promise to save an ally from PA's burst damage. Silencer can also use Last Word on a specific hero to prevent them from casting a crucial disable or escape before Phantom Assassin connects with her Phantom Strike. This allows PA to often secure a quick, initial kill, turning a potential teamfight into a more manageable cleanup.

This forces opponents to adjust their playstyle, primarily through positioning and item choices. Knowing the combo exists pressures supports to play further back, making it harder for them to react even with items. The enemy team must rely heavily on non-spell defenses like Glimmer Cape or Force Staff to survive Phantom Assassin's assault during the silence. While these items can work, they are a reaction to an initiation that Silencer provides on your team's terms. This pressure alone can be enough to slightly tip the resource battle and map control in your favor heading into the mid game.
