Finding a safe window for Phantom Assassin to deal damage is the core of this lane partner's job, and Tidehunter provides that. A well-timed Ravage locks down multiple enemies, letting PA choose her target and commit Phantom Strike without immediate retaliation. Gush is also a key part of this; the armor reduction it applies makes her Coup de Grace crits hit significantly harder. While other supports can stun a target, Tidehunter offers a massive area-of-effect setup that is simple to execute and very effective at securing kills on slippery heroes who might otherwise escape Phantom Assassin's initial burst.

This pairing's game plan is straightforward. Tidehunter uses his natural tankiness from Kraken Shell to create space and absorb pressure, allowing Phantom Assassin the room she needs to farm her initial items. As soon as Ravage is available, the duo can start forcing fights around objectives like towers or Roshan. The enemy team will try to play around this long cooldown by splitting the map or building defensive items to survive the initial burst. The success of the combination often hinges on Tidehunter landing a key ultimate before PA gets focused, which keeps the advantage from being overwhelming.
