How Phantom Assassin and Visage perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Phantom Assassin and Visage win 53.18% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 10,254 matches.
Hunting a single hero in the mid-game can work out well for this duo. Visage offers the control that Phantom Assassin lacks, using Grave Chill and his Familiars' stuns to hold a target down. This gives PA a perfect window to land her burst damage without the enemy escaping. The problem is that both heroes deal almost exclusively physical damage. An enemy team that recognizes this and stacks armor can heavily mitigate the impact of both cores, making it difficult for either Phantom Assassin or Visage to secure kills. This shared weakness often prevents them from taking over the game, even when their target lockdown plan works.

These rows use the last 30 days of quality-filtered ranked matches, all patches in that span combined — a wider window than the patch-scoped count above, so the per-rank match totals can exceed it.
