Phoenix + Primal Beast

Why this works

Trying to burst down a rampaging Primal Beast can feel like the right call, but it often gives Phoenix a clean window to use Supernova. While the enemy team is focused on Primal Beast, Phoenix can drop the egg without immediate pressure. If the focus shifts to the egg, Primal Beast gets to Trample freely. A well-timed Pulverize can also hold a key target in place for the Supernova stun, but getting the coordination right isn't guaranteed. This interaction tends to create a difficult split-focus problem for the opposing team during mid-game fights.

This duo looks for openings where Primal Beast can successfully land an initiation on a priority hero, with Phoenix ready to follow up. Any delay between the initial jump and the Supernova can give the enemy enough time to recover. Opponents quickly learn to anticipate this pattern, saving disables for Phoenix or using mobility items to escape the area before the egg lands. The enemy's main goal becomes separating them or bursting one hero down before the other can react, preventing them from combining their ultimates effectively.
