Phoenix + Silencer

Why this works

Protecting a Supernova from the enemy team can be difficult, but Silencer adds a tool for that exact situation. A well-timed Global Silence prevents enemies from using spells or key items to burst down the egg, forcing them to rely on right-clicks. This buys crucial time for Phoenix's allies to reposition and defend, or for the stun to simply go off. Against lineups that depend on a specific chain of spells to kill heroes, this simple lockdown can be enough to secure a successful ultimate for Phoenix.

In practice, this combo is all about timing. The threat of Global Silence during a Supernova forces opponents to be wary of clumping up or committing their big spells too early. However, these ultimates have very different cooldowns, so they won't always be available together. A smart enemy will try to exploit those windows, baiting out one ultimate to make the other less effective. The Silencer player also has to choose between using their ultimate to initiate or saving it defensively for Phoenix, which isn't always an easy call.
