Phoenix + Tiny

Why this works

Setting up a kill with Avalanche can work well for Phoenix, but the follow-up is where things get messy. The core issue is Tiny’s Toss, which can accidentally save enemies that Phoenix is trying to burn down. A target being slowed by Sun Ray can be thrown to safety, and more critically, an enemy can be tossed completely out of a Supernova's stun radius. This forces Tiny to play around his ally’s biggest spells in a way that feels unnatural, holding back on his own repositioning instincts to avoid ruining the setup.

This clash in styles often plays out across the entire game. Phoenix wants to control a large area and wear down the enemy team over a long teamfight. Tiny, on the other hand, excels at bursting down a single, isolated target and moving on. This can lead to moments where the two heroes are working at cross-purposes, even when they're trying to focus the same enemy. While they can certainly win fights together with careful communication, their kits often create friction that a coordinated enemy team can take advantage of.
