Primal Beast + Pudge

Why this works

Stacking two big strength heroes with single-target lockdown sounds good, but the execution is often clumsy. Both Primal Beast and Pudge want to lock down one enemy with a channelled ultimate, which can be overkill and leaves both vulnerable to interrupts. Their ideal fight setups are also at odds. Pudge plays from the fog, looking for a Meat Hook to pull someone out. Primal Beast wants to be seen, charging straight at the enemy with Onslaught. This means one is rarely in a great spot to follow up on the other's initiation, leading to awkward, telegraphed ganks.

A successful hook into a Pulverize can delete a hero, but lining that up is inconsistent. In teamfights, this lack of clean setup becomes a bigger problem. Pudge and Primal Beast might both commit long cooldowns like Dismember and Pulverize to the same target, which is inefficient. Or they split their focus and fail to kill anyone important. An enemy team with a couple of stuns can often disable both heroes, shutting down the entire plan before it gets going. It's a pairing that can work through brute force but lacks real coordination.
