Primal Beast + Ursa

Why this works

Getting jumped by both Primal Beast and Ursa can feel overwhelming. The combination of lockdown and physical burst damage on a single hero is very high. Primal Beast can charge in and hold someone down with Pulverize, giving Ursa a perfect window to build up Fury Swipes. The problem is that both heroes want to do exactly the same thing: get on top of a target and stay there. They are both melee brawlers who are vulnerable to being kited, and a single Force Staff or Ghost Scepter can often save a target from both of them at once.

This overlap means they tend to get in each other's way as the game progresses. While they can secure early pickoffs, they struggle against teams that group up and position well. Having two cores who need to be in the very center of the fight to deal damage makes your draft predictable and less flexible. The team often ends up lacking ranged damage or the tools to deal with elusive backliners, because Ursa and Primal Beast are both trying to occupy the same space to kill the same frontline target. Their strengths are too similar to complement each other effectively.
